In Memory of Juanita N. Swedenburg
This tree, a Pinoak, was donated by the Northern Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association in memory of the late
Juanita N. Swedenburg in March, 2008.

Both Mr. Eden and Mr. Wates were friends of Mrs. Swedenburg's and helped her with landscaping
needs on the farm. Thanks go to Matt Deivert, also of South Riding Nurseries. Mr. Wates planted and
grew this beautiful tree in his nursery.
The Swedenburg family extend heartfelt thanks for this gift!

June 28th - Pottery Day (Noon - 5 PM) - Swing by and see unique and beautiful pottery pieces for sale from noon to 5 PM. Josh Brown is a potter from Frostburg, Maryland. He studied pottery in high school and college, and was apprenticed in northern Minnesota. Josh has been a full-time potter since 1991. He has a full line of functional stoneware including bowls, vases, mugs, platters. He is also dedicated to the rare and beautiful art of crystalline-glazed heirloom-quality porcelain. Josh mixes all of his own glazes and designed, built, and fires his own kilns. Many of Josh's regular customers have been collecting his work for over a decade, some traveling great distances to attend his studio open houses.
Having recently acquired several of Swedenburg's delicious wines at the Winchester Wine and Art Show, Josh was determined to visit the winery for more! He looks forward to meeting the staff and guests!

July 27th - Ferrari Club of America (Noon - 3 PM) - Come by and meet the fun members of the Ferrari Club of America while admiring their beautiful cars!
August 17th - Local Author Book Signing (Noon - 5 PM) - Ellen Crosby will be at the winery from noon until 5 to personally sign your copy of the much anticipated third wine country mystery, “The Bordeaux Betrayal”. The critics are already raving about this book. It is the best one yet. Come learn about some of the behind scene stories of how she and Mrs. Swedenburg came up with some of the story.
(In July we will have a pre-order request so that we can be sure to have a book available for you to get signed.)
September 20th - Children's Book Signing (Noon - 5 PM) - Joe Jamaldinian Art Show and book signing of his second Penguin Bob book. This will be another great day filled with wonderful one of kind art and the next Penguin Bob adventure.

Saturday May 3rd - Art Show (11 AM to 5 PM) - Second Annual Joe Jamaldinian Art Show was held all day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The weather was beautiful and Joe's horse themed paintings were amazing.
April 25th, 26th & 27th, 2008 - Apple Blossom Festival - We participated in the 2008 Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival for the first time this year. It was a great busy few days and we featured our latest wine releases.
April 19th, 2008 - Jewelry Show - This was a great day; many came out for the jewelry show to view the large array of designs of bracelets, necklaces, earrings and rings while enjoying a glass of vino!
March 15th, 2008 - Wine Tasting and New Orleans Soup!
February 9th and 10th, 2008 - Valentine's Day - Weekend Celebration! - Enjoyed a great day with wine tasting and chocolate covered strawberries.
